In 2010-2011 school year we had our first afterschool club. The club was made up of the top shooters from each 5^th grade class. The team competed and 5 students qualified for the district championship. Two of the five shooters qualified for the state championships (Christopher Matlashewski and Ric Stephen). At the state championship Ric shot a 265 and was ranked 3^rd in the state as a 5^th grader qualifying him for the National Championship. We are proud of all our team members.

In 2011-2012 school year we established our first official team. The team was made of the top 10 boys and girls from our 5th grade class and included one 4th grade boy. In the district championship our team placed 2nd and was ranked 9th in the state. At the state championship we shot a team best score of 2,549 and finished in 7th place. Unfortunately, we did not qualify for the National Championship.
Individual accomplishments:

• Austin Miller scored a 261 with a 6th place finish. He is ranked 1st in the state as a 4th grade boy and qualified for the National Championship

Team Accomplishment:

• Placed 7^th in state qualifying tournament – scoring 2672
• Place 4^th in State Championship – scoring 2880
• 1^st team from Lakewood to qualify for National Championship
• Placed 82^nd in National Championship – scoring 2956
• Austin Miller – 1^st place District Championship and 1^st place State Championship

Our 2013-2014 team was one of our most talented groups. We had 40 students who qualified for the team which was made up of the top 24 shooters from our shootout. The team won the district championship with a score of 2999 and was ranked number one in the state. At the district championship the following three students received individual awards: AJ Golden - 1^st place, AJ Rikard - 3^rd place and Julianna Macanas -3^rd place. 

        Our team lived up to their first place ranking and won the state championship with a score of 3065. Winning both the district and state championships will be a special memory for these students. We had one shooter, Emma Haynes, win the individual state championship. 

        The team competed in the national championship feeling very confident. We had a great showing with a 13^th place finish and a score of 3135. Dylan Carter shot his best competitive score and placed 5^th overall.  We are extremely proud of this team’s accomplishments. They have set the bar high for future teams.

The 2014-2015 archery team had big shoes to fill. This group was both talented and coachable. The team went into the regional championship not knowing what to expect and won the championship without any individual winners. The team score was 2960. The team had excellent shooters with each member of the team contributing to the victory. The team was ranked number one in the state for the second year in a row.

 At the state championship the team pulled together again and won the second state championship for our school scoring 3072. The head ranger recognized the students’ excellent shooting performance. He said to me, “they all shoot well, not one shooter standing out as your best.” I am very proud of all the shooters’ performances. Winning our second championship without one shooter placing in the top three demonstrated a true team effort.

The shooters continued to improve and earned some of their individual best scores at the national championship. Our team finished 18^th in the nation with a score of 3119. This was a special group and a fun group to coach. We enjoyed every tournament.

This team continued the success of the previous two year. For the third year in a row the team won the Region with a score of 2979. The boys sweep the championship Chase Haydt 1^st place, Reef Kocot 2^nd place and Christian Perez 3^rd place and Cadence Prock receive 3^rd place for the girls. The team was rank 1^st in the state for the third year in a row.

At the state championship the team lived up to its ranking and place 1^st for the third State Championship in a row scoring 3127. Christian Perez won the individual State championship and Casey Gwyer received 2^nd place award.

The team continued their success at the National Championship receiving a 13 place finish and a score of 3144.

Although the previous two team qualified for the World Championship we were unable to attend. The team would be the first to compete at the World Championship.  The team place 7^th with a score of 3152.

The 2016-2017 brought new challenge to our archery program. The team would be the first team to shoot IBO 3D alone with our normal bullseye at the state championship. The team did an outstanding job or adapting and prepare for both competition. 

The team won its four Region championship in a row scoring 2922 and ranked 2^nd in the state. Stephen Williams received a 2^nd place finish. At the state championship the team competed in both the bullseye and IBO 3D. The team finish 2^nd in bullseye with a score of 3012. The team won the 1^st IBO 3D state championship. Giving our teams 4 state title in 4 years. The team scored 1484.  Individually Lyla Gordon receive 3^rd place in bullseye and 2^nd place in IBO 3D. Anastacia Mendez won the state championship in IBO 3D and Ashiv Patel received 3^rd place.

At the national championship the team scored 3037 in bullseye and 50^th place. In IBO 3D the team score 1473 and 26^th place.
